union matters for the Association. Served as substitute for the International President on
AFL-CIO National Transportation Committee meetings in Washington. Active in Lobby
activities in Washington, including direct meetings with several Senators and Congressman
and their staff, during Aviation Deregulation Bill legislation review. Directed Legal
responses relating to all Union litigation in various courts as well as before the Civil
Aeronautics Board, Department of Transportation and Federal Aviation Administration
etc. As National Secretary-Treasurer was responsible for all financial and budgetary matters
for the Association. Managed budget in excess of $5,000,000. |

As National President of The Flight Engineers International Association, Pan American
World Airways, was the Founder and First Chairman of the Pan American Joint Labor
Council, comprised of the Presidents and Heads of all Unions representing workers on the
Pan American World Airways Properties. ALPA AIRLINE PILOTS, FLIGHT
ENGINEERS. TEAMSTERS, TRANSPORT WORKERS, AND FLIGHT ATTENDANTS,
I was instrumental in placing a Labor Representative on the Corporate Board of Directors
of Pan American World Airways, the second American Corporation, after Chrysler, to
place a Labor Representative on the Corporate Board of Directors.
As National President was a Delegate to The International Flight Engineer Association,
with Delegates from all World Airlines. Participated in Worldwide International
Transportation Federation Conference in Dublin Ireland. |
